18 killed, 24 injured in bus-truck collision in India

At least 18 people were tuesday killed and 24 others injured when a bus collided with a truck in Mainpuri in Uttar Pradesh state, police said. The incident took place near Haveli village in Oncha area when the bus carrying 36 passengers from Rathrea village collided with the truck, pti reported quoting the police as said. The passengers were on way to attend an engagement ceremony at Bagwala village in Etah district. The 24 injured were rushed to a local hospital, police said.
