16 injured in road mishap in eastern India

At least 16 people were injured in a road mishap in the eastern Indian state of Bihar Wednesday, a senior police official said.
"The mishap happened when a bus in which the victims were traveling plunged into a ditch near Madhopur village in the state' s Jamui district, after the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a bend," he said, on condition of anonymity.
All the 16 injured have been admitted to a government hospital where the condition of some six are said to be serious, the official said.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, he added.
