Casablanca - Mohamed Khaled

Moroccan former footballer Mustafa Al Hedawy expressed his deep sorrow for the departure of former Chairperson of Morocco’s Football Association Husseing Al Zamori, describing him as successful and balanced official.

He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, that the former official performed a major role to return him to the national team during 1990s after years of absence, as he called the then-coach of Moroccan national team Abdel Khaliq Allozani to return him to the team

Upon the official’s request, he said, the Moroccan coach summoned him to the camp of Morocco’s national team which was preparing for the World Cup held in American in 1994. He added that he appreciated the call, stressing his pride to wear the shirt of the national team during this international event.

He added that the former official was serious and keen to take strict decisions against the violators due to his military background, while he was also flexible in dealing with the different challenges facing him during his existence in the position. He expressed his condolences to the family of the former official, saying that Moroccan football lost one of its prominent leaders.
