Ahly’s official denies increase of coach’s salary

Member of board of Egypt’s Ahly Club Kamel Zaher denied what was published over increasing the salary of Coach Hossam Al Badry, saying that they are unfounded rumors. He stressed that the issue has not been discussed during the board’s meetings.
He added, in a statement to “Arabs Today”, “It is frustrating to find news over the increase of Badry’s salary in a number of different electronic websites. The rumors are not limited to the issue of Badry’s salary, while it extends to a large number of other issues.”
He continued that it is not logic to discuss such issue during the current period before the end of the season, saying, “It is impossible to discuss such issue during the current timing not only in Ahly but also in any other club around the world.”
He added, “Badry’s contract will end immediately after the end of the current season. When we discuss the renewal, it is normal for him to ask for increasing his salary.”
