Ibrahim Al-Jaafari
Baghdad - Arab Today

Iraq's Foreign Minister Ibrahim Al-Jaafari on Thursday said that the kidnapping of Turkish workers in Baghdad is meant to obstruct the development of relations between Iraq and Turkey.

In a meeting with Turkey's Ambassador to Iraq Farouk Qaamakja, Jaafari said that the act is certainly linked with the terror hitting Iraq.

The Iraqi foreign ministry is following up the investigations to identify and arrest the culprits, Jaafari added.

On Wednesday, masked gunmen in pickup trucks kidnapped a group of workers from Turkey on the outskirts of Baghdad
