A Palestinian young man was killed while six Israelis were injured when the Palestinian youth opened fire at a number of Israeli settlers in Sheikh Jarrah district of al Quds city, Israel Radio reported on Sunday.
A female settler and an Israeli soldier have been seriously injured in the attack.
Earlier, the Palestinian man fired at the settlers and fled the scene where Israeli forces chased him and exchanged fire with him until he was killed by the forces.
Israeli forces said they had identified the attacker.
