The Political Directors of the G5+1 (China, France, Russia, UK, US plus Germany) and Iran will meet in Montreux, Switzerland, on Thursday March 5 to continue their diplomatic efforts towards reaching a long-term comprehensive solution to the Iranian nuclear issue.
The meeting will be chaired by EU Political Director Helga Schmid. The meeting will be preceded by a series of bilateral meetings between P5+1 and Iran starting on Monday, according to a press release by the office of EU High Representative Federica Mogherini.
She stated that "the EU is making every effort to facilitate the negotiations: we cannot miss the opportunity of a good agreement." G5+1 and Iran concluded in Geneva last week another round of talks on the nuclear issue.
