Eight soldiers killed and 57 militants were killed during separate military operations across the country in past 24 hours, a statement issued by the Afghan Ministry of Defense on Wednesday morning stated.
Spokesman for the defense ministry, General Zahir Azimi writes in the statement that the soldiers killed in landmine explosion and militant fire.
The statement added that 57 militants were killed and 33 wounded during separate military operations in past 24 hours.
21 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also discovered and defused by the security forces.
