Cairo - Arab Today

Presidential hopeful Abdel-Fatah el-Sisi said he will seek to wipe out poverty in the next four years. In an interview with Al-Ahram and Al-AKbar newspapers out Friday, Sisi unveiled his electoral platform. "Egypt is in need for a comprehensive project to become a modern state," he said. He said he will work on improving infrastructure in many provinces at the same time he will seek luring more investments. Sisi said he will call for carrying out the 1200-km corridor development project in 18 months not in 10 years. This project will extend from Alexandria to Aswan with many interchanges to be reached to the Red Sea coast, he said. It aims to link Upper Egyptian provinces with the Red Sea coast to pave the way for more development projects. Source: MENA
