Tunis - Arab Today

Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid on Friday said that the terrorist attack that targeted two Tunisian hotels in the city of Sousse would deal a heavy blow to the country's economy, especially the tourism sector.

In statements late on Friday, Essid termed as "painful and unexpected blow" the attacks.

He urged unified efforts by all Tunisians to uproot terrorism and support the Tunisian economy.

He noted that the number of tourists who visit Tunisia slumped by 28.3 percent when compared to those who visited the country in 2010.
