Shihab bin Tariq, personal adviser to Sultan Qaboos bin Said, will arrive in Cairo along with his accompanying delegation Wednesday to take part in the New Suez Canal inauguration, slated for Thursday, said Omani Ambassador to Egypt Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthi.

The personal adviser will attend the New Suez Canal opening on behalf of Sultan Qaboos, he added.

The Omani ambassador, meanwhile, congratulated Egypt and its nation for this great achievement.

He also voiced confidence that the project will contribute to boosting economy and attaining overall development in Egypt.
