The new Suez Canal Development Project is a key supporter of the national economy, said Transport Minister Hany Dahy.
During visiting the site of the new Suez Canal Project, along with a delegation from the Transport Ministry on Saturday, Dahy said that digging operations at the Canal are going on efficiently thanks to efforts of the Armed Forces.
The transport minister also boasted that all the projects' designs were carried out by Egyptian experts.
The project will not only increase resources but will also restore Egypt's pioneering role at the economic and political levels in the region, he added.
