In a joint press conference with Egypt's Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Qabil, Guidi said that Italy seeks having joint projects with Egypt in Africa and the Middle East.

Italy is interested in cooperating in Egypt in various fields such as infrastructure, new and renewable energy, petrochemicals, steel and cement industries, she added.

Qabil said that the two sides discussed a number of investment and trade opportunities.
