Dr. Magdy Badran
Cairo - Shaima Makkawi

The member of the Egyptian Society of Allergy and Immunology, Dr. Magdy Badran,  revealed that skin is a battery to raise immunity and there are new hopes for the children of otism, saying that the hormone oxytocin is known as incubation secreted by the posterior lobe of the pituitary gland.

"Oxytocin was discovered in 1906 and the molecular structure in 1952, which is the Hormone Hormone, which prompts the human to embrace the likes, and also helps in the production of milk from the breast of the nursing mother and makes the sexes more thin and inferior together," Badran said.

He added that oxytocin helps people develop affectionate feelings, love and affection for others, and plays a key role in social attachment and belonging to mammals. Oxytocin is sometimes known as the hormone of love because it starts when people socialize.

Badran said also plays in social interactions and family cohesion, causes a significant increase in trust between humans, helps shape social memories, and strengthens previous associations.

He added that oxytocin highlights social information in the brain, and contributes to the processing of social information about the environment by linking regions or scenes with its analogues, sounds or smell to the reward system, which makes us happy to be with those we love.

"The higher the levels of oxytocin in the mother during the first trimester of pregnancy, the greater behaviors of bonding and singing with her infant," he said.

The Egyptian doctor pointed out that oxytocin plays an important role in the growth of children and increase muscle in adults and when the lack of this hormone due to a disease or malnutrition or imbalance of hormones in the body, the child becomes stunted, slow growth, and increases the ability to heal and recovery after operations and accidents.

It increases the growth of cells especially muscle cells, cartilage, bones, liver, kidneys, skin and lungs, delays aging of the skin, muscles, bones, weight gain, stomach movement and bone density, according to Badran's statements.

Badran stressed that mother's interaction with the child leads to an increased level of oxytocin, and the highest types of touch promote a feeling of safety, a sense of warmth, increased self-confidence, instills a sense of belonging, reduces stress, relieves anxiety and helps the child to sleep and the cheapest medication to treat children's anxiety.
