Leading Hamas figure Mahmoud Al-Zahar has insinuated a return to fighting against Israel if the latter continued its procrastination in meeting the Palestinian demands under the ceasefire deal that has been reached under Egypt brokerage.
In statements on Monday, Zahar said Israel is to blame for any security instability if it did not meet the Palestinian demands relevant to crossings and easing the reconstruction operations in Gaza which has been grossly damaged by the recent Israeli offensive.
As regards the slackness in allowing construction materials into Gaza, Zahar said the Palestinian unity government has accepted the Israeli conditions under the ceasefire agreement.
He said the unity government should have a permanent residence in Gaza in order to handle its escalating problems, and not just make field visits to Gaza.
