A Yemeni presidential panel has failed to reach an agreement with the leader of Houthis group to end recent anti-government riots in the country, a spokesman for the panel said Sunday.
The panel is currently on its way back to the Yemeni capital after failure of negotiations with the Houthis in Saada governorate, Abdulmalek Al-Mekhlafi, member of the panel, affirmed in a statement.
During the past three days, the panel presented a comprehensive agreement draft to the Houthis, in which they refused, Al-Mekhlafi added, noting that the panel is to meet with the Yemeni President immediately after their arrival in Sanaa to have acquainted with the situation.
