
Yemen's Ministry of Transport and Egypt's Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport have signed a cooperation agreement in the Egyptian port city of Alexandria.The agreement which was signed by Transport Minister Waed Batheeb and the Chairman of the Egyptian Academy Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail, aims to establish a branch of the academy in Yemen to work in training, rehabilitation, research and consultations areas.The agreement also stipulated the joint cooperation to establish quality management system (QMS) in Yemen's port institutions.Meanwhile, Yemen's General Authority for Maritime Affairs and Egyptian Maritime Safety Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding. It aims at activating the joint work in training, rehabilitation and transfer of experiences between the two sides.On the other hand, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between Yemen's Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority and the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety.
