
Minya security bodies launched a clampdown against fugitives, drug dealers and unlicensed weapon holders.
Eighteen persons wanted for attacking public and police institutions, inciting violence and protesting with no prior permission were arrested.
Some 20 firearms, large quantity of drugs were seized and 1,949 traffic violations were recorded during the security campaign.
The crackdown also resulted in seizing about 42 unlicensed motorcycles.
Three drug dealers were also arrested.
About 1,118 judicial rulings have been put into effect within the clampdown.
