
El-Wafd party leader el-Sayed el-Badawi has affirmed the close ties binding Egypt and Sudan.
He also said that the recent visit of Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir to Egypt was successful.
In statements on the sidelines of his participation in the 4th General Conference of the National Congress Party (NCP), which kicked off in Khartoum on Thursday, Badawi said that Bashir's visit to Egypt and his meeting with the Egyptian president affirmed the close ties between the two countries.
He also voiced hope that several projects between the two countries would be implemented within the upcoming period.
