Union Coop celebrates the elderly

On the occasion of International Day for Older Persons, Union Coop, the largest cooperative in the UAE, organised a barbecue party for members of Thukher Social Club under the Community Development Authority, at Dubai Municipality’s Al-Mamzar Park Chalets.
Commenting on the event, Suhail Al Bastaki, Director of the Happiness and Marketing Department, said, "In the UAE, we do not recognise one day only for the elderly, as we believe that it is our duty to take care of them throughout the year. All events and activities we organise are aimed at paying them back for their great efforts and work during the foundation of the UAE. They are the source of the prosperity we are living today."
"We must thank Al-Mamzar Park for offering 3 chalets free of charge for hosting this event," Al Bastaki added. "Dubai Municipality's support highlights the importance of our strategic partnerships with various entities and its positive effects on all people in our society."
At the end of the event, Union Coop representatives distributed flowers and took photos with the members of the Thukher Social Club.
