Podgorica - Arab Today

Abdul Salam Hareb Al Rumaithi, the UAE Ambassador to Montenegro, and the Mayor of Podgorica, Slavoljub Stijepovic, have met to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral relations, during which the Mayor warmly welcomed the idea of having direct flights between Dubai and Podgorica, saying it will be a major step towards strengthening cooperation between the two countries.

The UAE Ambassador in turn expressed his happiness at the good relations the two countries share, adding that an increasing number of UAE investors and tourists to Montenegro will be helping to consolidate those relations.

The Mayor of Podgorica said that Emiratis are among the most important foreign investors in Montenegro, and that their presence is particularly noticeable in the tourism and infrastructure sectors. He added that there will be further possibilities for cooperation with the introduction of direct flights, and as a result of the mutual visa exemption agreement that have been recently amended to include citizens and holders of ordinary passports of the two countries.
