UAE Ambassador to Australia and Minister for International Development
CANBERRA - Arab Today
Dr. Obaid Al Heri Salem Al Ketbi, UAE Ambassador to Australia, and Senator Concetta Fierravanti-Wells, Minister for International Development and the Pacific in Australia, on Tuesday discussed mechanisms of boosting cooperation between the two sides.
The meeting also touched on enhancing communication with the Minister for International Development to oversee the grants and assistance provided by the UAE to these countries, in the fields of development and infrastructure.
The meeting also reviewed the contribution of the UAE to the Pacific Conference for Development Economics and the development projects provided by Masdar in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, in addition to discussing the mechanisms through which the UAE will provide assistance to Pacific countries to overcome the effects of natural disasters.
