Tunisian Prime Minister Mehdi Jomaa asserted on Tuesday his country's keenness to maintain strong ties with Egypt.
The premier made the remarks during a welcoming ceremony for Arab and Muslim diplomats in Tunisia on the occasion of Eidul Adha.
The event was attended by Tunisian Foreign Minister Mongi Hamdi.
Jomaa wished Egypt more stability, adding "Tunis looks forward to distinguished relations with Cairo."
Meantime, the Egyptian diplomat extended thanks to Tunisian government over facilitations provided to evacuate Egyptians fleeing armed conflict in Libya via Tunisia.
