Tunisia government spokesman Nidhal Ouerfelli
Tunis - TAP

The security centre to combat terrorism and organised crime will be inaugurated in the days to come, government spokesman Nidhal Ouerfelli announced, Friday, after the cabinet meeting.
The announcement comes after the discussion of a draft decree amending and supplementing a legislative act on the organisation of interior security forces and the creation of that centre.
According to Ouerfelli, the Cabinet meeting discussed 7 draft laws related, in particular, to financial agreements as well as 60 other decrees.
During the meeting, a presentation was made on the security situation in the country as well as preparations for the presidential and legislative elections.
In this connection, emphasis was placed on the need to join necessary conditions for the successful conduct of the elections, particularly co-ordination between the Interior Ministry and the Defence Ministry to better secure the headquarters of the Independent High Authority for the Elections and its regional offices.
The report on the security situation in the country took stock of arrests and protest movements in the last eight months, said Nidhal Ouerfelli, adding that the authorities reclaimed the control of 26 mosques and closed 29 others in 2014 against the closing of 30 places of worship in 2013.
Out of a total of 60 approved draft decrees, 10 provide for the publication and the implementation of sectoral agreements in the public service as well as on the creation of two courts of appeal in Beja and in Kairouan.
On the other hand, Ouerfelli said the process of wage increase will continue for public employees and executives who did not benefit of pay increase in 2014, such as workers, paramedics and municipal employees.
In this connection, he noted that the general negotiations on wage increases will not take place in 2014, noting that these negotiations will be held under the elected government.
