Cairo - Arab Today

Tunisia's Ambassador to Egypt and its permanent representative at the Arab League Naguib Al Manif has called on regional and international parties to work for putting an end to military operations in Syria and delivering humanitarian assistance to the besieged city of Aleppo and other beleaguered areas.

During a meeting at the level of representatives to discuss the tragic situation in the Syrian city, the diplomat said the suffering of the Syrian people is a source of concern for all Arab countries and the international community.

He appreciated efforts exerted by some parties to stem bloodshed and end military operations in Syria calling on the international community to take serious steps to end the tragedy on the Syrian territories.

The Tunisian diplomat asserted the Arab foreign ministers will hold an extraordinary meeting on Monday at Kuwait's request to discuss the situation in Aleppo.

For his part, Qatar Ambassador in Cairo and its representative at the Arab League Seif al Boanin said atrocities being committed by the Syrian regime forces are amounting to war crimes, calling for bringing those responsible for the crimes to international justice.
