The Kingdom of Bahrain has welcomed the liberation of the Syrian city of Raqqa from Daesh, affirming that the achievement is an important step on the path of the fight against terrorism towards elimination of all extremist and terrorist organisations in Syria and the region as a whole.
Bahrain News Agency quoted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as saying that, "The Kingdom looks forward to reaching a political solution that preserves Syria’s unity and territorial integrity, puts an end to foreign interference in the country’s internal affairs and ensures security and peace for all brotherly Syrians."
