The Syrian air force conducted tens of fresh operations against the strongholds of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) terrorists in Reqqa province in the Northeastern parts of the country.
The most important targets of the Syrian air force's jetfighters have been the former building of Syria's state security, Afran al-Andolus district, Al-Kornak Square, Al-Hasimeh Square and the wheat silos of Reqqa.
Tens of ISIL terrorist were killed during the airstrikes.
ISIL militants have sheltered underground as they are fearful of more Syrian air force operations.
Last week, the Syrian Army targeted gathering centers of the ISIL terrorists in the vicinity of Tabaqa military airport in Reqqa countryside, and killed at least 140 foreign-backed fighters.
The conflict in Syria started in March 2011, when sporadic pro-reform protests turned into a massive insurgency following the intervention of western and regional states.
The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.
As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.
Washington has remained indifferent to warnings by Russia and other world powers about the consequences of arming militant groups.
