
Sweida Governor Atef al-Naddaf asserted that the issue of missing people and abductees, both civilians and military personnel, is one of great importance for all the relevant authorities, and that the government is exerting considerable efforts do tackle this issue.
Meeting families of abductees and missing people on Sunday, al-Naddaf said the government is committed to uncovering the fate of people who went missing throughout the course of the crisis, and that it is working hard to rescue all those who were abducted by terrorists and return them to their families.
He pointed out that so far, the bureau tasked with following up on abductees and missing people is following up on all registered cases, calling on locals to cooperate with the authorities and provide any information that could help locate missing people.
For their part, the relatives of abductees and missing people voiced appreciation for the government’s efforts to locate and free their loved ones.
