
Head of the Suez Canal Authority Mohab Mamish received on Sunday Al-Azhar Grand Imam Ahmed el-Tayyeb during his visit to the site of New Suze Canal Project.
Mamish said that the new Suez Canal project would be one of the Egyptian economy's pillars, adding that the project aims to make good use of the increase of the movement of Chinese and Indian goods crossing Suez canal which is expected to double by 2020.
He pointed out that the daily volume of goods' crossing the Canal reaches one million tons.
He asserted that Egypt would take advantage of the goods crossing the Canal through establishing integrated industries, setting up new urban and industrial communities which contribute to securing more job opportunities for young people.
