Sudanese Investment Minister Moustafa Osmane Ismail, special envoy of Sudanese President Omar Hassan Al Bachir hailed "the pioneering diplomatic role of Algeria in the region" and its efforts for "return of stability in Libya".
Ismail said during a news briefing Friday at the end of his visit to Algeria, that the message written by the Sudanese President to President of the Republic Abdelaziz Bouteflika concerned the last developments of the situation in Sudan and in the neighboring countries notably in Libya.
Sudan "has been affected by the situation in Libya," the Sudanese special envoy said during the news briefing held with Minister of Industry and Mines, Abdessalem Bouchouareb, expressing the hope that "this country will soon regain its stability."
He said that the role of Algeria for the return to stability in Libya, "is supported and welcomed" by Sudan and other neighboring countries of Libya.
Algeria has now become "a haven of peace and stability in the entire region," said Ismail, adding that the experience of the Civil Concord conducted by the Algerian authorities managed to bring "stability in Algeria and prevented it painful episodes experienced by several other Arab countries, during the period known as the Arab Spring. "
"This experience has given Algeria a pioneering diplomatic role in the region," he said, adding that "Algeria has always advocated the building of international relations based on respect, friendship, credibility and non-interference in the internal affairs of countries."
In addition to issues related to the situation in Sudan, Libya and throughout the region, the message from Sudanese President focused on "ways to developing political and economic relations between Algeria and Sudan," said Ismail.
The Sudanese envoy, who arrived Thursday in Algiers as part of a two-day working visit, was received by Prime Minister Abdelmalek Sellal.
