The first meeting of the high Sudanese-Egyptian presidential committee will convene in Khartoum in the first week of December, Sudanese Foreign Minister Ali Karti said.
Karti described a meeting with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukri held Wednesday in Cairo as successful, Sudanese "Al-Khartoum" newspaper reported.
The Sudanese top diplomat said they had agreed to activate joint committees and raise the high committee's level from the ministerial to the presidential one.
Egypt totally understands Sudan's role in bringing the viewpoints of Libya's conflicting parties closer, he said.
He added that he briefed Shoukri on the outcome of his meetings with Libyan sides.
