
The Sudanese government on Monday condemned the attack that killed 21 soldiers and injured several others in Egypt's south-west province of Al-Wadi Al-Jadid on Saturady.
The government stressed in a statement its "keenness on Egypt's security and stability" and "utter rejection" of all criminal acts that target the safety of the country.
"The government of Sudan would like to convey through the Foreign Ministry the condolences and sympathy of the Sudanese people and government to the Egyptian government and people as well as the families and relatives of the martyrs", praying for a speedy recovery for the injured.
A "group of terrorists" attacked a military post near El-Farafra oasis two days ago, killing 21 border guard soldiers and injuring four others. Some of the attackers were also killed. Two bombing cars were found and defused.
