
The Shura Council's delegation has affirmed the solid Bahraini-Jordanian relations, in particular, and Jordanian-GCC ties, in general.
This came as the delegation, led by Dr. Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa, met the Foreign Affairs Committee at the Jordanian Senate Samir Al-Rifai and members, on the sidelines of the sixth consultative meeting of the Association of Senates,Shura and Equivalent Councils in Africa and Arab World (ASSECAA).
They discussed bilateral relations and ways to consolidate them in all fields, especially in the parliamentary one.
Dr. Shaikh Khalid Al Khalifa lauded the stances of Jordan, under the leadership of HM King Abdulla II, towards a number of regional issues, including the Palestinian cause, war against terrorism and support for Syrian refugees.
The two sides stressed the need combat terrorism and extremism represented by the terrorist organisations that have nothing to do with the precepts of the Islamic religion or the cultures and traditions of Arab countries.
They dismissed the acts of the terror groups was as clear infringement on all international norms, conventions and human rights, and which is considered a criminal act in the sense of the word, and described them as real crimes.
Shaikh Khalid Al-Khalifa also discussed with Al-Rifai areas of joint cooperation, and lauded the positive outcomes of the deep-rooted Bahrain-Jordanian relations, calling for the need to enhance parliamentary cooperation through the exchange of legislative expertise.
