
President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has met with members of the legislative and legal amendment committee under Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab.
Presidential spokesman Alaa Youssef said the meeting dwelt on the mission and mechanisms of the committee that looks into the laws from the perspective of the new constitution approved in January.
The committee members have expounded the laws that need to be amended.
The committee groups the Ministers of Justice, Transitional Justice, Egypt's Mufti and President of the State Council as well as representatives of the judiciary, lawyers and law professors at Egyptian universities.
Sisi has asserted the importance of finalizing the mission on time.
