
President Abdel Fattah el Sisi directed authorities concerned to allocate EGP 100 million for compensating persons affected by the latest floods and repairing the infrastructure, Prime Minister Sherif Ismail said Saturday.
The compensation will be equally divided for the affected people and urgently restoring the infrastructure with EGP 50 million for each, Ismail said during his meeting with the officials of the local government in the Red Sea governorate.
Ismail offered his condolences to the families of the victims and wished speed recovery for the injured because of the floods.
The premier listened to detailed explanations for the situation and measures taken to tackle the flash floods that hit Red Sea government.
He directed to distribute the compensations in no more than a week as soon as all the damage calculated.
Ministers of the local development, transport, irrigation along with the Red Sea governor were present during the meeting.
