He, in his paper addressing the meeting titled (The role of the parliaments of the Association in fighting terrorism and maintaining peace), stressed the threat of terrorism in undermining economic and social development, which requires to be confronted at local, regional and international levels and to strengthen the role of the United Nation system in this regard.
He noted Bahrain's experience in maintaining political stability, in light of the spread of terrorism and extremism, and managing the crisis politically, by adopting dialogue and rejecting violence and fanaticism in line with the Royal reforms.
Shaikh Khalid Al-Khalifa also chaired the second session titled (Lessons learnt from conflicts and means of solving them), where Dr. Sami Al-Khawalda tackled a number of conflicts taken place in Arab and African countries, underlining adopting the civil state system and meeting citizens' needs.
