Head of the Kuwaiti Society for the Ideal Family Sheikha Fariha Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday called for a governmental and parliamentary action to counter violence in the country over the past few days.
In a statement to KUNA, Sheikha Fariha, also head of Al-Fatat (Girl) Sports Club, said that violation of law by some youth necessitates a serious stance, adding that neglecting law in public places, shopping and refreshment centers turns them into war arenas where all law, conventions and ethical and religious values are violated.
She also urged enforcing law to punish young people who care nothing for people's lives at these places.
According to Sheikha Fariha, there are various security solutions to curb violence, such as intensifying monitoring cameras at shopping centers and other public places. She said that the fleeing of the "heedless" perpetrators impedes security.
She stressed that enhancing security will help achieve aspired development in the country.
