Sheikh Mohammed meets US Secretary of Navy

The UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum received here today at Zabeel Palace the US Secretary of Navy Ray Mabus and his accompanying delegation, now visiting the United Arab Emirates. During the meeting the two sides exchanged views on enhancing the bilateral relations, especially in the areas of defence and military fields. The two sides also discussed the Arab and regional political and security issues as well as ways to enhance the stability and peace for the best interest of peoples of the region and world. Sheikh Mohammed stressed that the significance of education as tool for spreading culture of stability among the poor communities, especially in third world, adding that the education provides job opportunities to youth and keep them away from economic, social and psychological problems. For his part, the US Secretary of Navy hailed the friendship ties between the two countries which is founded on mutual respect and common interests.
