To enhance communications across all media outlets and government departments in Sharjah and the UAE, the Sharjah Department of eGovernment, DeG, hosted members of the press and officials from the department.

The event, held at Al Jawaher Reception and Convention Centre, was held to thank media for their support in helping to communicate Sharjah’s message on Digital Innovation and Transformation The initiative was also hosted in recognition of journalists’ support on DeG’s array of initiatives and activities, and for its significant contribution towards the development of the government technology industry.

News representatives were later treated to a Majlis-themed discussion with Noor Ali Al Noman, Director of DeG, where she engaged with them on the important role news outlets in the UAE are playing in communicating Sharjah’s evolving digital innovation, infrastructure and transformation. She pointed out how DeG works closely with multiple partners from Sharjah’s government sector, as well as news outlets in the UAE, to progressively explore and deliver a standardised government communication excellence.

Al Noman also highlighted upcoming initiatives it is working on, such as supporting Sharjah’s government sector with new ICT solutions throughout the year, and future plans with its award-winning game, ‘Sharjah Land’, of which DeG recently launched its newest edition.
