Manama - Arab Today

The Bureau of the Shura Council has lauded His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s sound directives to ensure that procedures to rationalise public money expenditure is based on consensus between the Executive and Legislative branches.

 

The royal directi9evs reflect the leadership’s keenness to ensure that all measures aimed at strengthening the national economy and immunising it against challenges should be in accordance with the citizens’ interests and aspirations, said the bureau during its meeting today under the chairmanship of Shura Council Chairman, Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh.

The Shura Council’s Bureau lauded the great cooperation of the government, led by His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, and supported by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Premier, noting that the progress of cooperation between the two branches aims to achieve sustainable comprehensive development which is centered on the Bahraini citizen.

The bureau highlighted its keenness to intensify cooperation and coordination with the Council of Representatives and the government to re-structure subsidy so as to benefit the eligible citizens, and study a unified eligibility mechanism through unifying legislative and regulatory aspects, in line with HRH Premier’s directives during the previous Cabinet Session in which he stressed the need to implement the Government Action Plan (2015-2018), including the re-directing subsidies to benefit the targeted beneficiaries.
