Royal directives backed by Representatives Council.
Manama - Arab Today

The directives issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa while chairing the regular weekly Cabinet Session, here yesterday, have been supported by the Council of Representatives.

The Council of Representatives expressed deepest thanks and appreciation to HM the King for lauding the constructive cooperation between the Executive and the Legislature, and its fruitful results in terms of gains and achievements that benefit the nation and serve the citizens, under the Royal Reform Project.

The Council of Representatives stressed the importance of defeating and eliminating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, as well as those supporting it, harbouring it and inciting it.

It also affirmed that fighting terrorism is among its legislative priorities through its support for all measures aimed at the preventing the abuse of the kingdom’s openness to cause harm to the nation’s security and stability.

The council reiterated its full support for the royal directives on the kingdom’s plans not to take part in any GCC Summit or meeting attended by Qatar unless the latter rectifies its approach, comes to its senses and responds to the demands of the countries which have long suffered from it.
