These series of meetings, which are part of the implementation of a plan worked out by the government to restore peace and public order in this province, were “warmly” welcomed by all the social players and representatives of the Ibadi and malaki communities of Ghardaia.
The malaki community hailed the State’s efforts to restore security in Ghardaia and called on all the population to enhance “the sense of responsibility and vigilance” to ensure the success of the series of meetings initiated by the secretary general of Interior Ministry to put an end to Ghardaia’s crisis, according in a communiqué released Monday evening.
The representatives of the Malaki community disapproved of all forms of violence and call to enforce the laws of the Republic.
For their part, the representatives of “El Kourti” Council, highest authority of wise men of the Ibadi community of M’zab, hailed “the great interest” granted by the public authorities for the settlement of Ghardaia’s crisis and expressed their hope to see the efforts “continuing” to ensure the success of the steps undertaken by the ministry’s secretary general, underlining their availability to contribute to the restoration of the ancestral “harmonious and peaceful coexistence.”
