The UAE leadership pays special attention to the provision of housing for citizens as part its efforts to ensure a dignified life for Emirati families, affirmed H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras al-Khaimah.
''In implementation of the leadership's directives, the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme is undertaking several mega housing projects across the emirates, including the emirate of Ras al-Khaimah, to bring about social stability to Emirati families,'' said HH Sheikh Saud bin Saqr following a ground breaking ceremony for the Bateen Al Samar housing project.
Sheikh Saud laid the foundation stone for the project and unveiled the memorial plaque in the presence of Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Belhaif Al Nuaimi, Minister of Infrastructure Development, and Chairman of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, members of the programme's board, and senior local officials.
HH said these housing projects were being carried out as part of the leadership's vision for sustainable development.
The minister stressed the government's commitment to ensure stability for the Emirati family.
''The Bateen Al Samar housing project will stand witness to the government's determination to make citizens happy,'' he said.
Jameela Al Fandi, Director-General of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme, said AED330 million Bateen Al Samar housing project would include 354 residential units on 396,480 square metres of land.
The project, situated off exit 119 on Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, is expected to be finished by early 2019, she added.
