RAS AL KHAIMAH - Arab Today

H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Crown Prince of Ras al-Khaimah, inaugurated the EXPO 2020 Dubai office in the Julphar Towers, in the presence of Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director-General of EXPO 2020 Dubai, Najib Mohammed Al Ali, Executive Director of EXPO 2020 Dubai, and heads and directors of the federal and local departments in the emirate.

Following the inauguration, the Crown Prince said that EXPO 2020 Dubai was an international event that would promote the UAE at the regional and international levels, as well as strengthen the position of Dubai as an international destination, where the cultures of the world could meet, thanks to the support of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The people of the UAE will have a major role in the process of innovation, communication and exchange of ideas and will contribute to the international event, he added.

He noted that the inauguration of the EXPO 2020 Dubai office in Ras Al Khaimah was an important step, as it would provide the individuals and institutions participating in the event with opportunities and ensure the office would be a national platform to promote communication between people. The EXPO 2020 Dubai will promote the UAE’s reputation and leadership in all areas, including the economic sectors that are based on innovation, he observed.

The EXPO 2020 Dubai office in Ras Al Khaimah will also involve individuals, government authorities, and small and medium enterprises in its journey and provide them with opportunities to attract young qualified people from across the UAE to participate in the process of innovation, communication and exchange of ideas.

Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemi stressed that the inauguration of the EXPO 2020 Dubai office in Ras Al Khaimah was a step towards the implementation of the wise leadership’s vision of involving the UAE nationals in the international event.

She emphasised that the RAK office would facilitate communication and co-operation among the UAE citizens, residents and institutions, and ensure everyone’s participation in the event, in a way that would reflect the prominent position of the UAE. It will demonstrate to the world the complete co-operation and unity among the Emirati community, and its openness to all cultures and its efforts to serve the humanity.
