Qatari Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalid bin Mohamed Al Attiyah underlined Sunday, in Doha (Qatar), that “Algeria is a country that has its weight in the region and that assumes its important role in restoring stability in the region particularly through its encouragement to peaceful political solutions.”
In a statement to APS on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony of the new headquarters of the Algerian embassy in Qatar, the Qatari minister said that “Algeria is a country that has its weight in the region and that assumes its important role in restoring stability in the region.”
“Algeria has always been a pioneer when it concerns resolving conflicts in the region by peaceful ways and political solutions through the encouragement of dialogue, a role that Algeria plays to perfection,” added Al Attiyah.
Concerning the bilateral cooperation, the Qatari minister of Foreign Affairs said that the holding of the 5th Algerian-Qatari High Joint Commission “notes the deep relations between the two countries,” adding that “despite the existence of many fields of economic cooperation, this one remains below the ambitions of both countries.”
