Qatar has welcomed the formation of a new government in Yemen under the leadership of Khaled Bahah, the Foreign Ministry said Monday in a statement.
The ministry expressed hope the new government will constitute a step towards preserving Yemen's unity, stability and prosperity amid the ongoing challenges.
The statement stressed the necessity of cooperation among all factions in order to work on implementing the peace and national partnership agreement as well as the outcomes of the GCC initiative on Yemen so as to achieve the ambitions of the Yemeni people.
The ministry has also reiterated Qatar's keenness on supporting Yemen and its people.
