Qatar emir receives phone call from Palestinian president

HH the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al -Thani received today a telephone call from President Mahmoud Abbas of the State of Palestine.
The Palestinian President briefed HH the Emir on the latest developments in the Palestinian territories, especially the brutal Israeli aggression and military operations in the Gaza Strip, stressing the need for international action to stop this aggression.
HH the Emir reiterated Qatar's position in support of the Palestinian people and their just cause, and expressed the denunciation of the practices of the ongoing hostilities by Israel in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
HH the Emir also stressed the need for an immediate action by the international community to put an end to the arrogance of Israel, and stop its aggression, which has killed tens of martyrs and wounded hundreds of unarmed civilians.
HH the Emir stressed at the same time the importance of adherence by the brethren Palestinian people to their national unity in the face of Israeli aggression.
