Prime Minister Sherif Ismail decided on Thursday to form a committee under Investment Minister Ashraf Salman to settle the north Suez iron factory.
The committee comprises the assistant justice minister for international arbitration and disputes settlement, the chairman of the Industrial Development Authority, the Finance Ministry undersecretary and a representative for ArcelorMittal.
The committee seeks to settle the dispute in a friendly way.
The committee will refer its report to a ministerial settlement committee in preparation for raising the issue at the cabinet.
The premier also ordered forming a committee under his chairmanship to forge a national plan for developing solar energy for Egypt to become by 2020 a key player in the field of producing and exporting solar energy in the Middle East and Africa.
The committee will include the ministers of planning, electricity, environment, foreign affairs, investment, international cooperation and trade and industry.
