PNA condemns ongoing Israeli security operation in West Bank

The Palestinian National Authority (PNA) on Friday condemned the Israeli large-scale security operation in the West Bank to search for three missing Israelis who disappeared one week ago.
"The growing Israeli large-scale security operation in the West Bank, since the three Israelis had disappeared, creates destructive atmospheres," the PNA presidency said in a statement published by the official Wafa news agency.
The PNA presidency warned Israel over escalating its security measures in the West Bank, adding that "these measures are condemned and the Israeli government shoulders a responsibility for such serious behavior."
The PNA statement stressed that Israel is not allowed to use the incident for keeping and escalating its security measures against the Palestinians, adding that "such measures harmed innocent people and affected their daily life."
The Israeli army has been carrying on a large-scale security and military operation all over the West Bank for nine days in search for three Israelis that had disappeared in June 12 near Hebron in southern West Bank.
Official Palestinian figures announced that the Israeli army had arrested about 390 Palestinians since June 12. Some were held for several days and were freed, but there are dozens who are still under arrest.
Earlier on Friday, two Palestinians were killed and six wounded during clashes between Palestinian protestors and Israeli soldiers near the cities of Hebron and Ramallah in the West Bank.
