
Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab Saturday carried out an inspection tour of the development work in Ezbet Girgis, el-Asal and Abdel-Daiem Bashira Alley, the oldest shanty towns in Cairo.
The prime minister was accompanied by Local Development Minister Adel Labib, Cairo Governor Moustafa Saed and Head of " Long Live Egypt Fund" Farouq el-Okda who finances the project.
The inhabitants of the slums welcomed the officials.
Mahlab heard explanation about the development work carried out in the shanty towns.
